Start Times

50K/25K:   7:00 am

10K/5K:   8:00 am

Kids Fun Run:  9:15 am

Participants must report to the start line 15 minutes prior to the start of the race for a pre-race briefing.  There's a generous 10-hr time limit for the 50K/25K. 

 

Packet Pickup

November 6, 2020  4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Watters Smith State Park main pavilion:  831 RR 3 Duck Creek Rd, Lost Creek, WV  26385.  Race day packet pickup at the Park main pavilion, Start/Finish area. 

 

Registration

Registration opens January 1, 2020 on www.Ultrasignup.com.  Online registration closes October 31 for 50K/25K and November 4 for 10K/5K. 

 

6/18/20 UPDATE:  Total participants for all events is capped at 90 due to WV State COVID19 gathering restrictions.  Please see COVID19 alerts (below) for more details. 

 

Same-day registration, space permitting, is available for 10K & 5K races only, opening at 6:00 am at the start/finish park pavilion. Race shirt sizes guaranteed for online entries on or before October 26.

IMPORTANT COVID-19 ALERTS & INFORMATION

7/11/20:  Due to the recent, significant rise of new COVID19 cases in WV, the race is being rescheduled to November 7, 2020.  We are making every effort to make this a SAFE event, and to that end continue to develop a detailed medical response plan in keeping with WV State, CDC, USATF, and local health department guidance.  We will be performing questionnaire-style screening upon arrival at the Park, and taking temperatures.  Other social distancing, mask, and  hygiene requirements will be published here and sent via email in the weeks leading up to the event. Please continue to check back.

6/18/20:  North Central WV has maintained a relatively low positive test rate over the past 4 months, and the State is now gradually progressing through its conservative re-opening plan. Currently we are permitted to have events up to 100 people (including staff), with social distance restrictions. We are not anticipating an increase in this number, so we are capping the total participants at 90 (all four races combined). This is our inaugural year with the 25K/50K distances so we are giving preference to these races.  To do so, we will close registration for the 25K/50K on August 15 and any remaining slots toward the 90 total will go to the 5K/10K races (both online and same-day registration).  If you are considering the 25K/50K, please do not wait until the last minute!  Should the race be cancelled due to coronavirus restrictions, registration fees will be refunded (minus any Ultrasignup admin fee).

 

6/18/20:  Our Event Team is highly committed to making this the safest event possible. We have four medical professionals on our Team experienced in screening and social distancing measures. All participants and spectators will be screened (including temperature checks) at the West park entrance before being allowing into the start/finish area at the East entrance.  In the weeks leading up to the race we will post here, and send via email, detailed safety guidance including the screening protocols.  Please pay close attention to the screening questions and be sure you can 'pass' before leaving home!
