The course winds through mostly wooded, single track trails of the idyllic Watters Smith Memorial State Park. The low-technical trails are great for beginners yet still challenging for experts due to their rolling nature and several short, steep climbs. In dry periods road shoes are suitable on this course.
Start and Finish for all races is at Main Pavilion near the Park Ranger’s station on the Eastern-most side of the Park.
The 25K race is one single loop traversing of the Park’s trail system, with the additional of a few miles of new single track added in early 2020 in the northwestern 'primive' section of the park. The 50K is a two-loop course.
The 10K/5K is the traditional Test The Watters course using the Fawn, Black Cherry, White Oak, Rachel Hershey, Trick Track Trek, and Dogwood Trails.
